The Asian American Pacific Islander Collective, Santa Cruz is a source for information, support, and community created by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Santa Cruz.  The AAPIC hosts the annual Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Festival and other events throughout the year.

Duane Kubo's film “Cruising J-Town”. Celebrate the inclusion of an AAPI film to the permanent collection of the United States. Soquel resident Duane Kubo’s 1975 documentary “Cruisin’ J-Town” was one of 25 films selected for 2023 to the National Film Registry Library of Congress. “Never Again is Now, “ Asian American Activists event, featuring historical displays and artwork by Reiko Fujii, Judy Shintani, and Lucien Kubo.
